Transportation

As an AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire member, you have access to transportation benefits. These benefits include emergency transportation and non-emergency transportation needs.

Emergency transportation: If you need emergency transportation (an ambulance), call 911.

Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT)

We offer three types of non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT). This is for when you need a ride to a medically necessary service, such as a doctor visit. We also help with up to 14 one-way social trips (non-medical) to qualified destinations each calendar year. You must use the Family and Friends Mileage Reimbursement Program if you have a car, or when a friend or family member with a car can drive you.

To schedule a ride for non-emergency medical transportation or a social trip, call Coordinated Transportation Solutions (CTS) at 1‑833‑301‑2264 at least two business days in advance.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Thursday and Friday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.

If you have questions or changes after you have scheduled a ride, please call CTS at 1-833-301-2264:

  • To confirm trip details
  • To cancel or make changes to your trip
  • If you have any problems during your trip, such as vehicle issues, unsafe driving, or if your driver is late or does not arrive

If you are unable to keep an appointment, call the CTS transportation line as soon as possible to cancel or reschedule the ride.

Medically necessary trips:

  • Visits to your doctor or other provider
  • Trips to the pharmacy for prescriptions
